Continuing from where i left yesterday, if British Regime in Old India was so fond of NON – VIOLENCE, what have they been doing when the first person or few people in the start of Freedom movement in 1850s (who had only option of non violence, as Gandhi did in South Africa when he was thrown out of train), why should British WAIT for 100 odd years and UNTIL MILLIONS of PEOPLE LOST their lives, purely with the UNSATISFIED hope (in their life time, as British were not having a dialogue with Indian leaders then, about freedom or anything. So they died without having ANY HOPE of India becoming free as today).

Is it a fun that they appreciate Non Violence after millions of Indian died? or is it because they were afraid of NSC Bose’s Training of Indian militants for an indigenous war? or is it something else that happened to British, they gave up on India, which they did not do even after World war 1.

For a coin there are 2 sides. For a Business to succeed or fail there are Internal factors and External Factors.

If the question of who has been given the Independence to India?, the Answer is correct, Mahatma Gandhi, as Britishers HANDED OVER the freedom to him.

If the question is WHY Britishers decided to give Independence to India? I would like to consider like a business person, the Internal factors (Gandhi and NSC Bose and others) AND External factors of what was happening to Great Britain in the world around them at that time.

Without considering these external factors, simply praising that Independence was GIVEN due to Gandhi’s Non violence, is like in the whole body one hand alone is accumulating fat (this we consider as sickness, than whole body putting on weight in healthy way).

If you consider Joe (assume British) has a house and has 2 neighbors (Jack (assume Gandhi) who is non violent, Jill (assume NSC Bose) violent and retaliating).

Let us assume Joe is a naughty neighbor causing similar problem to both Jack and Jill. Jack, by nature non violent, will make Joe only decide, Jack is WEAK and easy to handle. Jill, by nature being Violent, will make Joe to be careful in doing anything as there will be retaliation.

In the above example, similar to what happened in Indian independence from British, I dont think, the behaviour of the 2 neighbors would have CHANGED the minds of Joe to LEAVE any of the neighbors free!!

So this will lead you to think the external factors that influenced British to give FREEDOM to India (in my view neither violence nor non violence yielded Independence, as these two existed in India for many decades).

I will express my view here tomorrow!
